Circuit Bench Retirement: Dancey

His Honour Judge Martin Alan Gordon Dancey retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 22 March 2022.

Background information

His Honour Judge Dancey (65) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1981. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1993, a District Judge in 1999 and a Regional Costs Judge in 2005. He was appointed a Family Course Tutor (Judicial College) from 2009 to 2013 and was a Course Director (Family) with the Judicial College from 2013 to 2017. He was appointed a Circuit Judge in 2015 and was Designated Family Judge for Dorset from 2018 until retirement.
