His Honour Judge David Eric Griffith-Jones QC retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 20 April 2022.

Background information 

His Honour Judge Griffith-Jones QC (69) was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1975 and took Silk in 2000. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1992, a Recorder in 1997, a Member of the Sports Disputes Resolution Panel in 2000 a Part-time President of the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2002 and a Circuit Judge in 2007. He was appointed a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber) in 2009 and was a Judicial Member of the Parole Board from 2009 to 2014. He served as the Resident Judge and the Honorary Recorder for Maidstone from 2018 to 2022.
