Circuit Bench Retirement: Jordan

His Honour Judge Robert Anthony Jordan retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 1 May 2021.

Background information 

His Honour Judge Jordan (68) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1978. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1995, a District Judge in 1999 and a Recorder in 2008. He was a Member of the Civil Justice Council from 2006 to 2012 and a tutor with the Judicial College from 2009 to 2021. He was President of the Association of Her Majesty’s District Judges and a member of the Judges Council in 2014. He was appointed a Circuit Judge and authorised to sit as a Judge of the High Court in 2015.
