Circuit Bench Retirement: Platts
His Honour Judge (Charles) Graham (Gregory) Platts retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 26 August 2021.
Background information
His Honour Judge Platts (65) was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1978. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1999, a Recorder in 2000 and a Circuit Judge in 2005. He was appointed a part-time Legal Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2002 and a Member of the Restricted Patients Panel (Mental Health Review Tribunal) in 2007. He was authorised to sit as a High Court Judge in 2008 and appointed a Civil Course Director of the Judicial College in 2016 and a Judge of the Court of Protection in 2018.
