The Honourable Dame Elizabeth Slade DBE retires from the High Court (Queen’s Bench) with effect from 13 May 2019.

Dame Elizabeth Slade DBE (70) was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1972, took Silk in 1992 and was elected as a Bencher in 1990. She was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1995 and Chairman of the Employment Law Bar Association from 1995 to 1997 (Honorary Vice President from 1998). She was appointed a Recorder and a Deputy High Court Judge in 1998 and an additional part-time Judge of the Employment Appeal Tribunal in 2000. She was Chairman of the Sex Discrimination Committee Bar Council from 2000 to 2002 and appointed a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) in 2008.
