Judge Melanie Elizabeth Lewis retires with effect from 18 November 2019. 

Notes to editors 

Judge Lewis (63) was called to the Bar (G) in 1980. She was appointed a part-time Immigration Adjudicator in 1995 and a Legal Chairman of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal for England (now known as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber) in 1999. She was appointed a Legal Member of the Family Health Service Appeal Authority Tribunal in 2001, a Legal Chairman of the Care Standards Tribunal in 2003 and a Special Immigration Adjudicator (now known as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2003
