Appointment of a High Court Judge: Cusworth KC
The King is pleased to approve the appointment of a Justice of the High Court. This appointment will take effect from 11 January 2024.
The candidate approved as a High Court Judge is Nicholas Cusworth KC.
This appointment will fill a vacancy in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements.
Nicholas Cusworth KC
Nicholas Cusworth KC will be known as The Honourable Mr Justice Cusworth. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1986 and took Silk in 2009. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2007.
He will take up appointment on 11 January 2024.
The Lady Chief Justice will assign Nicholas Cusworth KC to the Family Division.
