Circuit Bench Retirement: Barnett
His Honour Judge Andrew John Barnett retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 30 September 2023.
Background information
His Honour Judge Barnett was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1977. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1992, a Recorder in 1996 and a Circuit Judge in 2004. He was a Member of the Council of Her Majesty’s Circuit Judges from 2006 to 2019 (President of the Council of Her Majesty’s Circuit Judges for the year 2018). He served as the Honorary Recorder of Salisbury from 2010.
