Circuit Bench Retirement: Earl TD
His Honour Judge Stephen Earl TD retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 1 August 2026.
Background information
His Honour Judge Earl TD was admitted as a Solicitor in 1982. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2000 and a District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2004. He was a District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) Course Tutor at the Judicial College from 2008 to 2015. He was a Member of the Criminal Procedure Rule Committee from 2010 to 2016 and appointed a Circuit Judge in 2015.
