Circuit Bench Retirement: Gratwicke
His Honour Judge Charles James Phillip Gratwicke retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 1 April 2023.
Background information
His Honour Judge Gratwicke was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1974. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1998, a Recorder in 2000 and a Circuit Judge in 2003. He served as the Resident Judge at Chelmsford Crown Court from 2012 to 2020 and the Honorary Recorder of Chelmsford from 2013 to 2023.
