Circuit Bench Retirement: Hillen
His Honour Judge John Malcolm Hillen retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 21 January 2023.
Background information
His Honour Judge Hillen was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1976 and was elected a Bencher in 2018. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1997, a Recorder in 2000 and a Circuit Judge in 2005. He served as the Resident Judge at Blackfriars Crown Court from 2014 to 2019.
