Circuit Bench Retirement: O’Leary
Her Honour Judge Catherine Elizabeth O’Leary retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 1 May 2025.
Background information
Her Honour Judge O’Leary was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1979. She was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1992, a District Judge in 1998 and a Recorder in 2002. She was appointed a Circuit Judge in 2009 and a Deputy High Court Judge in 2010. She was a Family Course Tutor at the Judicial College from 2012 to 2025 and Chairman of the Family Sub-Committee of the Council of Circuit Judges from 2021 to 2024.
