Circuit Bench Retirement: Pegden KC
His Honour Judge Jeffrey Vincent Pegden KC retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 1 April 2023.
Background information
His Honour Judge Pegden KC was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1973, took Silk in 1996 and was elected a Bencher in 2002. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1992, a Recorder in 1996 and was a Member of the Crown Court Rules Committee from 2001 to 2007. He was appointed a Circuit Judge in 2007 and was a Course Director (Criminal Training) at the Judicial College from 2010 to 2016. He sat as a Circuit Judge in the Court of Appeal Criminal Division from 2015 to 2020.
