Circuit Bench Retirement: Robinson
Her Honour Judge Alice Robinson retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 12 May 2026.
Background information
Her Honour Judge Robinson was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1983 and elected as a Bencher in 2021. She was appointed a Recorder in 2003, a Circuit Judge in 2007, a Legal Member of the Restricted Patients Panel (Mental Health Review Tribunal) in 2007, a Member of the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) in 2009 and authorised to sit as a High Court Judge in 2010 pursuant to the Senior Courts Act 1981. She was appointed a Senior Judge of the Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia on the Island of Cyprus in 2012. She was appointed a Criminal Course Tutor at the Judicial College in 2016 and served as the Resident Judge at Croydon Crown Court and the Honorary Recorder of Croydon from 2017 to 2021. She served as the Resident Judge at Norwich Crown Court and the Honorary Recorder of Norwich from 2021 to 2026.
