Circuit Bench Retirement: Turner KC
His Honour Judge David George Patrick Turner KC retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 1 December 2023.
Background information
His Honour Judge Turner KC was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1976, took Silk in 2000 and was elected a Bencher in 2015. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder and the Chancellor of the Diocese of Chester in 1998, and a Recorder in 2000. He was the Deputy Chancellor of the Diocese of Liverpool from 2001 to 2002 and Deputy Chancellor of the Diocese of London from 2002 to 2021. He was appointed a Circuit Judge and authorised to sit as a Deputy High Court Judge in 2004. He was appointed Deputy President of Tribunals under the Clergy Discipline Measure in 2021.
