Circuit Judge Retirement: Coello
Her Honour Judge Judith Elaine Coello retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 1 April 2024.
Background information
Her Honour Judge Coello was admitted as a Solicitor in 1983. She was appointed a part-time Immigration Adjudicator in 1997, a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 1998, an Immigration Judge in 2000 and was President of the Council of Immigration Judges from 2004 to 2005. She was appointed a Designated Immigration Judge in 2005 and a Senior Immigration Judge (now known as a Judge of the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber)) in 2006. She was appointed a Recorder in 2007 and a Circuit Judge in 2010.
