Circuit Judge Retirement: Cooper
His Honour Judge Christopher Cooper retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 1 April 2025.
Background information
His Honour Judge Cooper was admitted as a Solicitor in 1986. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1998, a District Judge in 2008 and a Circuit Judge in 2020. He was a Diversity and Community Relations Judge from 2011 to 2020, a Civil Course Tutor at the Judicial College from 2015 to 2019 and a Family Course Tutor at the Judicial College from 2016 to 2020. He was a Course Director for Civil Law Induction and Continuation Training at the Judicial College from 2019 to 2024 and the Lead Judge for the Financial Remedies Court (Humberside and South Yorkshire) from 2021 to 2025.
