Court of Appeal: Retirement of Lord Justice Davis

Lord Justice Davis retires as Lord Justice of Appeal with effect from 10 March 2021. 

Background Information

Sir Nigel Anthony Lamert Davis (70) was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1975 and took Silk in 1992. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1995, a Recorder in 1998 and a High Court Judge (Queen’s Bench Division) in 2001. He served as a Presiding Judge on the Wales (formerly Wales and Chester) Circuit from 2006 to 2009. He was appointed as a Lord Justice of Appeal and made a Privy Counsellor in 2011.
