District Bench Retirement: Anson
District Judge Michael Anson retires from the District Bench with effect from 1 November 2025.
Background information
District Judge Anson was admitted as a Solicitor in 1981. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1998 and a District Judge in 2004. He was a Civil Course Tutor at the Judicial College (JC) from 2007 to 2013 and 2021 to 2025, a Family Course Tutor (JC) from 2010 to 2015, a Civil Course Director (JC) from 2013 to 2021 and a Court of Protection Tutor (JC) from 2016 to 2025.
