District Bench Retirement: Knifton
District Judge Ian Robert Knifton retires with effect from 11 July 2026.
Background information
District Judge Knifton was admitted as a Solicitor in 1985. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1998 and a District Judge in 2004. He was a Judicial College Tutor (civil) from 2010 to 2017 and appointed the Deputy Chancellor for the Diocese of Liverpool in 2019.
