District Bench Retirement: Rich TD
District Judge Anthony John Edmund Rich TD retires from the District Bench with effect from 18 February 2026.
Background information
District Judge Rich TD was admitted as a Solicitor in 1981. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1999, a District Judge in 2012 and was a Diversity and Community Relations Judge from 2015 to 2026. He has served as a Member of the Association of His Majesty’s (formerly Her Majesty’s) District Judges since 2020 and as the Association of His Majesty’s District Judges representative on the Diversity Committee of the Judges’ Council from 2020 to 2024. He has served as a Faculty Tutor at the Judicial College since 2021.
