The Honourable Sir Alastair Hubert Norris retires from the High Court (Chancery Division) with effect from 1 November 2019.

Sir Alastair Norris (68) was called to the Bar (L) in 1973, took Silk in 1997 and was elected a Bencher in 2004. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1998, a Recorder in 2000, a Circuit Judge in 2001 and a Judge of the High Court (Chancery Division) in 2007. He was appointed a Chancery Supervising Judge in 2013, Vice – Chancellor, County Palatine of Lancaster from 2013 to 2017 and Chairman of the Insolvency Rules Committee from 2015 to 2018.
