The Honourable Sir (Edward) James Holman retires from the High Court (Family Division) with effect from 28 June 2021.
Background information
Sir James Holman (74) was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1971, took Silk in 1991 and was elected a Bencher in 1995. He was a Member of the Family Proceedings Rules Committee from 1991 to 1995 and a Member of the Senior Courts Procedure Committee from 1992 to 1995. He was appointed a Recorder in 1993 and a High Court Judge (Family Division) in 1995. He was the Family Division Liaison Judge for the Western Circuit from 1995 to 2002.
