The Honourable Sir Julian Knowles retires as a Judge of the High Court (King’s Bench Division) with effect from 30 March 2026.
Background information
Sir Julian Knowles was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1994 and took Silk in 2011. He was appointed a Recorder in 2009 and was authorised to sit as a High Court Judge in May 2017 pursuant to the Senior Courts Act in 1981. He was appointed a High Court Judge (Queen’s Bench Division, now King’s Bench Division) in October 2017. He was an Election Rota Judge from 2024 to 2025.
