The Honourable Sir Nicholas Anthony Joseph Ghislain Mostyn retires as a Judge of the High Court (Family Division) with effect from 14 December 2023.
Background information
Sir Nicholas Mostyn was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1980, took Silk in 1997 and was elected a Bencher in 2005. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1997, a Recorder in 2000 and authorised to sit as a High Court Judge in the same year. He was appointed a High Court Judge (Family Division) in 2010 and was a Member of the Family Procedure Rule Committee from 2010 to 2023. He was the National Lead Judge of the Financial Remedy Court and Judge in Charge of Standard Family Orders from 2018 to 2022.
