Judge Gill Carter retires with effect from 1 December 2024.
Background information
Judge Carter was admitted as a Solicitor in 1990. She was appointed a Deputy Chief Adjudicator of the Asylum Support Tribunal in 2000, a Legal Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2002 and a Legally Qualified Panel Member of Appeal Tribunals in 2002. She was appointed a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber) in 2007 and a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber) in 2021.
