Judge Sehba Haroon Storey retired with effect from 1 July 2024.
Background information
Judge Storey was admitted as a Solicitor in 1987. She was appointed an Immigration Appellate Authority Judge in 1992, Chairman of the Social Security Appeals Tribunal in 1994, Chief Asylum Support Adjudicator in 2000 and Principal Judge, Asylum Support, in 2008. She was appointed a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber) and a Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge (Administrative Appeals Chamber) in 2009. She was appointed Chair of the Tribunals Judicial Diversity Group in 2010 and Deputy Lead Judge, Diversity and Community Relations Judges, in 2012. She was appointed Principal Judge, Criminal Injuries Compensation, First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber) in 2014, Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2015 and Acting Chamber President of the War Pensions and Armed Forces Compensation Chamber in 2018.
