Upper Tribunal Judge Devinder Gill retires with effect from 1 November 2024.

Background information

Upper Tribunal Judge Gill was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1984. She was appointed a part-time Immigration Adjudicator in 1995, a Special Adjudicator in 1996, and a Legally Qualified Panel Member of the Appeals Service (now known as the Administrative Appeals Chamber) in 1999. She was appointed a full-time Immigration Adjudicator in 2000, Vice President of the Immigration and Appeal Tribunal in 2003 and a Recorder in 2004. She was appointed a Senior Immigration Judge (now known as a Judge of the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2005, a Tribunal Member of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission in 2005 and authorised to sit as a High Court Judge in 2013.
