Resident Judge Jonathan Maurice Holmes retires with effect from 19 October 2024.

Background information

Resident Judge Holmes was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1985. He was appointed a part-time Immigration Adjudicator in 2002, a Legal Member of the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal in 2004 and an Examiner of the Court in 2004. He was appointed a Recorder in 2005 and an Immigration Judge (now known as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2007. He was appointed a Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2010 and Resident Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2021.
