Salaried Costs Judge (Taxing Master) Appointment: Joseph
The King has appointed Paul Joseph to be a Salaried Costs Judge (Taxing Master) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to Senior Courts Costs Office with effect from 19 May 2026.
Background Information
Paul Joseph will be known as Costs Judge Joseph. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1992 and called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 2005. He was appointed as a Deputy Costs Judge in 2021.
