His Honour Judge Allan Peter Gore QC retires as a Senior Circuit Judge with effect from 26 August 2021.

Background information

His Honour Judge Gore QC (70) was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1978 and took Silk in 2003. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1999, a Recorder in 2000 and a Circuit Judge in 2010. He was authorised to sit as a Deputy High Court Judge, Judge in the Court of Protection and Judge in the Technology and Construction Court in 2010 and appointed a Senior Circuit Judge in 2011. He was appointed the Designated Civil Judge for Liverpool and Merseyside from 2011 to 2013, for Greater Manchester from 2013 to 2018 and for Devon and Cornwall since 2018 and in addition, Dorset from 2021. He was one of the Directors of Civil Training at the Judicial College from 2010 to 2014 and a Civil Course Tutor at the Judicial College from 2010 to 2019.
