EoI: Independent Assessor of the Police Service of Northern Ireland Recruitment Vetting
It is a requirement that the person appointed as Independent Assessor shall have held judicial office within any part of the United Kingdom.
The Department of Justice in Northern Ireland is seeking to appoint an Independent Assessor of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Recruitment Vetting.
The Independent Assessor is appointed by the Minister of Justice to operate an appeals procedure for applicants to the PSNI who have been disqualified from appointment on vetting grounds.
The role is classified as an Independent Statutory Office Holder and is a public appointment made by the Minister of Justice and regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland.
The Independent Assessor is appointed for a term of four years.
