The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) will be launching a selection exercise on 18 June 2024 to recruit Fee-paid First Tier Tribunal Judges. Read more about the Tribunal Judge role and this selection exercise.

This pre-application seminar is aimed at candidates interested in the Social Entitlement (SEC), Heath, Education and Social Care (HESC) and the War Pensions and Armed Forces Compensation Chambers (WPAFCC).

The seminar

The Judicial Office is organising a pre-application seminar that will take place online via Microsoft Teams on Monday 10 June 2024 between 5-6pm

The seminar aims to help applicants be better prepared to make an application and to receive up-to-date guidance and advice on the JAC’s selection process. As well as the JAC, you will also hear from the Chamber Presidents and serving Tribunal Judges.

This is session is separate to the seminar on Tuesday 4 June focused on the Immigration and Asylum Chamber

Who should attend?

Judicial office holders and practitioners from all backgrounds (including CILEX lawyers and academics) who have five years’ legal post qualification experience are welcome to attend.

Training will be provided for all appointed.
