Pilot starts for Domestic Abuse Protection Orders
Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO) is a new measure provided for under Part 3 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
These provisions are being piloted from today (Wednesday 27 November 2024), initially for one year, in Greater Manchester, Croydon, Bromley and Sutton and with the British Transport Police.
The orders are available via different application routes in Family, Civil and Criminal Courts.

Separate arrangements have been made for Police and CPS access to DAPO order templates in the criminal courts.
