Appointment as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber: Mehta

Amar Subhas Mehta has been appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal by the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Ernest Ryder.

The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned him to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber with effect from 3 February 2020.

Notes to editors

Amar Subhas Mehta, aged 43, will be known as Judge Mehta. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1999 and admitted to the Roll in 2003. He was appointed as a Tribunal Member of the Valuation Tribunal for England in 2016.
