John Joseph Spencer has been appointed as a Regional Judge of the First Tier Tribunal on the advice of The Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Ernest Ryder
The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned him to the Social Entitlement Chamber with effect from 1st November 2019.

John Joseph Spencer, aged 40 will continue to be known as Judge Spencer. He was called to the Bar (G) in 2001. He was appointed as a Judge of the First -tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber in 2011, as a Deputy District Judge in 2017 and as a salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber in 2018.
