Appointment as Principal Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Property Chamber, Land Registration: Michell
Judge Michell has been appointed as the Principal Judge of the Land Registration Division of the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), by the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Ernest Ryder with effect from 1 April 2020.

Michael John Michell, age 58 will continue to be known as Judge Michell. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1984. He was appointed as Deputy Adjudicator to HM Land Registry in 2005 and as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Property Chamber in 2013.
