Circuit Judge Appointment: Archer

The Queen has appointed Richard Michael Archer to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Preston Combined Court Centre with effect from 3 August 2021.

Background Information

Richard Michael Archer, aged 35, will be known as His Honour Judge Archer. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2007. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2018.
