Circuit Judge Appointment: Baraitser
The Queen has appointed Vanessa Baraitser to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Inner London Crown Court with effect from 6 September 2021.
Background Information
Vanessa Baraitser, aged 52, will be known as Her Honour Judge Baraitser. She was admitted to the Roll in 1994. She was appointed as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2011.
