The Queen has appointed Rebecca Mary Herbert to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Luton Crown Court with effect from 8 April 2019 on a salaried part time basis of 80%.

Rebecca Mary Herbert, aged 48 will be known as Her Honour Judge Herbert. She was called to the Bar (G) in 1993. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Chairman of the Police Appeals Tribunal in 2015, and as a Recorder in 2016.
