Circuit Judge Appointment: Jonathan Holmes

The Queen has appointed Jonathan George Holmes to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Wales Circuit, based at Newport Civil and Family Court with effect from 19 July 2021.

Background Information

Jonathan George Holmes, aged 45, will be known as His Honour Judge Jonathan Holmes. He was admitted to the Roll in 2002. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010, as a District Judge in 2016 and as a Recorder in 2019.
