The Queen has appointed Robert Fraser McGinty to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Kingston-upon-Hull Combined Court with effect from 19 September 2022.

Background Information

Robert Fraser McGinty will be known as His Honour Judge McGinty. He was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1994. He was appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2006, as a Judge of the Upper Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2015, as a Deputy District Judge in 2015 and as District Judge in 2018.
