Circuit Judge Appointment: Skellorn QC

The Queen has appointed Kathryn Mair Skellorn QC to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Midland Circuit, based at Birmingham Civil & Family Justice Centre with effect from 27 September 2021.

Background Information

Kathryn Mair Skellorn QC, aged 50, will be known as Her Honour Judge Skellorn QC. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1993 and took Silk in 2014. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2018.
