Circuit Judge Appointment: Smith QC
The Queen has appointed Andrew Duncan Smith to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midlands Circuit, based at Birmingham Crown Court with effect from September 5th, 2022.

Andrew Duncan Smith QC will be known as His Honour Judge Andrew Smith QC. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1997 and took silk in 2012. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2009.
