Circuit Judge Appointment: Stephen Thomas

The Queen has appointed Stephen Edward Owen Thomas to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Maidstone Crown Court with effect from 14 May 2019 on a salaried part time basis of 90%.

Stephen Edward Owen Thomas, will be known as His Honour Judge Stephen Thomas. He was called to the Bar (G) in 1980. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2002.
