District Judge Appointment: Alison Griffiths

The Queen has appointed Alison Clare Griffiths to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Willesden County Court with effect from 16 November 2020.

Background Information

Alison Clare Griffiths, aged 41, will be known as District Judge Alison Griffiths. She was called to the Bar (I) in 2001. She was appointed as a Chairman of the Valuation Tribunal in 2017, a Tribunal Judge of the First -tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2018 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
