District Judge Appointment: Bird

The Queen has appointed Grant Harvey Bird to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Dudley County Court with effect from 2 November 2021.

Background Information

Grant Harvey Bird, aged 53, will be known as District Judge Bird. He was admitted to the Roll in 1993. He was appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber) in 2018.
