District Judge Appointment: Judy Dawson

The Queen has appointed Judy Elizabeth Dawson to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Harrogate County Court with effect from 1 November 2021.

Background Information

Judy Elizabeth Dawson, aged 50, will be known as District Judge Judy Dawson. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1993. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019 and as a Recorder in 2020.
