District Judge Appointment: McAteer

The Queen has appointed Kirsten Noreen McAteer to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at Blackpool Family Court with effect from 6 April 2020.

Kirsten Noreen McAteer, aged 49, will be known as District Judge McAteer. She was admitted to the Roll in 1996. She was appointed as both a Deputy District Judge and a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2013.
