District Judge Appointment: Merrills
The Queen has appointed David Richard Merrills to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Preston County Court with effect from 28 February 2022.
Background Information
David Richard Merrills, aged 40, will be known as District Judge Merrills. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2006. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
